Someone at Indecision 2008 is Brain Damaged Inside His Brain

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

Did you happen to notice that some idiot who writes for this blog and happened to be liveblogging the Iowa caucuses last night said something monumentally stupid and ill-informed along the lines of...

123 fucking people. Yep, that's right. With 82% of all the people who are gonna vote for Democrats tonight in, 123 people is what makes Barack Obama the winner.

Apparently that person doesn't understand the Iowa caucuses enough to get the difference between "fucking people" and "fucking delegates." That's really embarrassing. I sure am glad that was me -- the very person who is writing this post here that you're reading right now -- who wrote something so stupid.

As it turns out, a Barack Obama did not have anything close to "720 fucking people" voting for him. It was much higher. More along the lines of "87,000 fucking people."

According to The Group News Blog, the total number of votes for the whole banana bread cake -- Democrats and Republicans -- was "356,000 fucking people." And here's how those votes broke down across the board...

Obama: 24.5%
Edwards: 20.5%
Clinton: 19.8%
Huckabee: 11.4%

What that means is that all three of the top-tier Democratic candidates generated more votes than the winning Republican candidate (Huckabee), and the lowest of the Dem top-tier (Clinton) got nearly twice as many.

Obviously, that doesn't mean it would have shaken out that way in a general election, but it does seem to indicate that Democrats are more mobilized than Republicans these days, at least in Iowa, especially considering the nonsense they were forced to endure.

Mainstream republicans have reasons to celebrate and to worry, from the news coming from the Iowa caucus this past Thursday January 3. In effect, Mike Huckabee, the mainstream candidate and future presidential republican nominee, won easily the election. The media calls Mitt Romney

  3. Seriously, enough with all of the caucuses, straw polls, debates and elections. Let's do this the 'American Way' - a single elimination tournament!

  4. I'm just SO glad the media have made the Iowa caucuses so important that the next president has already been elected - saves me the trouble of rehabbing both myself and CubbyChaser so we can vote next November!
