This morning, Slate offers us the argument that, appearances to the contrary, Obama did not plagiarize his whole campaign from Jimmy Smits fictional campaign on The West Wing. No, no, The West Wing plagiarized Obama's campaign from the future. Watch.

I and about 10,000 other young Democrats just collectively creamed our pants at the thought of "The West Wing" becoming real.
I was an unabashed fan of "The West Wing" but thought they had really jumped the shark with the whole Matt Santos/Jimmy Smits storyline. At the time I believed that there was no way in h*ll America would get behind a brown candidate, let alone a lady. Let's see if fiction mirrors truth in the general election...
