Confirmed: Hillary Clinton to Seek the Colbert Bump this Thursday
It turns out that Chris Matthews either has amazing precognitive abilities, or heretofore under-represented investigative journalistic prowess.
Regardless of the source of his information, it turns out that the Hardball
host was correct: Hillary Clinton will be appearing on The Colbert Report this Thursday.
Her appearance follows last night's interview with Barack Obama's wife and aspiring first lady, Michelle Obama, and will cap off Stephen Colbert's week long trip to Philadelphia.
So what do you think? Will the Colbert bump be enough to rocket her to win the Democratic nomination?

hmmm,i think it will give a look at both sides of the political coin a bit...
I agree with 'HURDLES' Hilary Clinton has the plans to bring this country back on track. We don't need someone to make plans on 'day-1' we need someone that HAS plans already.
You people are insane. Obama has absolutely no plans for "his" presidency. He says a bunch of flowery words and thus is idealized. It takes more than pretty words to be a successful president. He offers no real plans, aside from carbon copies of what Hillary proposes. He cannot answer a question when he has not had time for his writers to prepare a response for him. An Orator is not the equivalent of a president. And to those who say Americans have already chosen, hello, barely half of America has voted. He is a great speaker, but is no where near prepared to be president. Hillary is poised and is so very "in the know" in occurences across the globe, which is something barack does not have. Those who are bashing Hillary are taking this out on the wrong person. Barack is a fine human being, but nonetheless unprepared for the Presidency. Hillary can handle the Oval Office. P.S. Many educated people vote for Hillary as well, but she just also attracts many uneducated people as well.
TCR may help, but it's not going to make her or break her. Most of you have seem to taken on such negativity. Hillary Clinton is a great woman. I wish I had accomplished a small percentage of what she's done for people throughout her life. I would be proud to have her as our President. I like Obama too ... but in 2016! I think he'd take our country to greater heights later as opposed to now. Go Hillary! Stephen, give her that Colbert bump eveyone's talking about!
Oh Hilary, you just proved that you have enough people around you that you do not need to focus on the issues... you just need to focus on late night talk shows... but that will fail the people are looking outside the Clinton gene pool... I think you have a complex many of us White Americans have... 'I can't be beaten by a black person' syndrome which is demonstrated in your determination against the very people 'you believe' want you to be president....
I suppose we are going to have to endure this campaign no matter where it goes. In the greater turning of events her appearance on TCR will not mean much either way. The thing that continues to amaze me it just how insane this race has become. At a time when the economy is beginning a death spiral and we are fighting an endless war in Iraq all the media cares about is who has made the biggest gaffe. Every time I see Hillary on the tube I change channels. Sorry Stephen, I am a day one member of the Nation, but I think I’ll pass on another dose of Hillary and the increasingly enormous bag of nothing she brings to this campaign.
I seriously think that Hillary will get no such "bump" The bump will go to Obama. Lets not forget it's the uneducated people who are supporting Clinton. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's viewers tend to be high brow and educated. All the polls show people with an education are voting Obama. So, she can go on Colbert and try to pull her B.S. like she does every where, but I think Colbert's people are smarter than to fall for her lies.. Hey! Maybe she'll be late for Colbert from having to "duck sniper fire" LOL.. *rolls eyes*
Will that Colbert bump be from the enthusiasm of his viewers or the strength of his Formula 401?
After viewing Stephen's interview with Michelle O...I need to ask...is it the Colbert "bump" or the Colbert "hump"?
Sorry, I will want to keep my dinner down. I love Colbert, but I will have to turn the channel when she comes on. I dislike liars..and she lies in spades. Her behavior thus far in the '08 race has been nothing less than shameful, as has her husbands!
