Confirmed: Hillary Clinton to Seek the Colbert Bump this Thursday
It turns out that Chris Matthews either has amazing precognitive abilities, or heretofore under-represented investigative journalistic prowess.
Regardless of the source of his information, it turns out that the Hardball
host was correct: Hillary Clinton will be appearing on The Colbert Report this Thursday.
Her appearance follows last night's interview with Barack Obama's wife and aspiring first lady, Michelle Obama, and will cap off Stephen Colbert's week long trip to Philadelphia.
So what do you think? Will the Colbert bump be enough to rocket her to win the Democratic nomination?

Please put Barack Obama on your show Monday night April 21 before the Pennsylvania Primary!!!! Michelle Obama was great but Barack needs to be on. History is in the making!
Listen, we all know Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert are comedy shows that parody politics. However stats have shown that the all important 24-40 year old demographic get more of their political news from these two shows than any other source. Therefore I believe it is important to point out reasonable & rational arguements despite the fact they are comedy shows.
The fact is the odds of Clinton now getting the nomination of the party is next to nil! She would have to convince the super delegates to go against the will of the people. She is all too willing to destroy the party before doing the right thing and getting out of the race given she really stands very little chance of getting the nomination. She is becoming a joke, yet not a very funny one. I hope Colbert takes her to the woodshed for being a selfish witch willing to ruin our chances of taking back the White House in '08 because she can't accept she is going to lose to Obama.
That is why I take it seriously and that is why I have lost all respect for Mrs. "duck for sniper fire" Clinton!
Honestly, Stephen and Michelle's banter was brilliant...Chris Matthews and the mayor of Philly were awesome. Stephen & Co. are doing a fantastic job of pointing out the 'elitist' comedic intelligence that most of Ah meh ri ka don't grasp. (What is the problem with triumphing over the odds with brains and motivation that is unappealing to the Hillary campaign? She shot a gun behind her g'pa's cabin? BFD. When is the last time she stood up for second amendment rights? Bleah) As a college educated euro mutt single mama of two, I say....GO OBAMA! (and if he doesn't make the ticket, then Stephen Colbert for President!)....
Let's keep it light in all of the seriousness of the most important presidential campaign in our young (albeit arrogant) country's history!
(let alone the world--which btw--having consulted the outsourced computer techs in India three times in the last month b/c of my sh***y Dell computer--is completely, absolutely paying attention! This election will determine the course of this planet...
ahem...steps off passionate, idealistic soapbox now....
Woot!
OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! MY GOD GIVE IT UP!!!!!! MICHELLE OBAMA WAS ON ON TUESDAY WHERE IS BARACK?????? IF HE REALLY WANTED TO GO ON HE WOULD HAVE GONE ON. SO HILLARY ACCEPTED THE INVITATION TO GO ON THE SHOW MY LORD BIG F DEAL. SHE WILL BE ON AND WE WILL ALL HAVE FUN. THIS IS THE BEST SHOW OUT THERE!!!!!
Is the Colbert show still on... I thought this was the daily show.
so...ummm, where the fuck's the show?
haha!
hillary will never be able to penetrate the consciousness that permeates the true followers of the only legitimate source of media in this country. Jon and Stephen, you two serve your purpose. You explain complicated things in terms that modern day stupified Americans can wrap their minds about. You truly serve your higher purpose, you both know quite well that the evil we are fighting permeates history and every present moment society blindly wakes up and choses to create/perpetuate every single day. I just want to say Bravo for Stephen, your satire is impeccable, your message pristine, and Jon your ballsy forward-ness is remarkable! It is greatly needed and appreciated, for your ability to penetrate the youth of America is exactly my goal in utilizing my status (I was born wealthy, attractive, and smart as hell) and a GIRL and studying at a top university in Boston and trying to make awareness, ie. about the anti-war movement, "cool" again!

Let's pit Hillary against Ron Paul, Or one of his suporters in a debate. . John McBush, Hillary Bush, Baroc Bush, VS. Ron Paul. do it on the , and show Let's see what happens. I know it's unfair three agianst one person with differnt points of veue from George W. Bush. But I feel their up to the challange to debate, and not get into an agreeance match over who agree's the most with eachothers policys.
By the sounds of it about half of you don't even watch colbert's/stuart's shows. Steven was able to get Mrs. Obama on the show Monday and has begged her, literally, to convince Obama to come on. Yet you knuckleheads keep on complaining that he isnt being fair or balanced, he's a comedian he doesn't have to be! If Obama doesn't want to come thats his prerogative, don't blame Colbert.
And if you guys missed the memo its a comedy show lighten up
No, Dereck, it's not just you. Why doesn't Mr. Obama get equal time, say, April 21st? What gives Jon & Stephen???
