BREAKING: Barack Obama and John Edwards to Join Hillary Clinton on The Colbert Report TONIGHT

TheInDecider has just learned that following his wife's appearance on Tuesday night, Barack Obama himself will be making an appearance on tonight's Colbert Report. As previously announced, Hillary Clinton will also be appearing on the show, which marks his final night on the road in Philadelphia.
Sources also say that former candidate John Edwards will be making a special appearance tonight. Is he trying to resuscitate his campaign via the Colbert Bump?
Tune in tonight at 11:30 to watch the sparks fly in Pennsylvania, and check back here tonight to let us know how you think the candidates (and former candidate) performed.

Just watched Obama on Colbert. Obviously scripted, but he delivered his lines well. The guy sure is comfortable in his own skin. Not quite as funny as Edwards, but Edwards got the most air time of the three.
Obama Humor rating out of 10: 5
Given Edwards is out of the race, and Hilary was so stiff, the Colbert bump goes to Obama.
John Edwards is now on. He is doing a good job of letting the Colbert writers make him poke fun at himself. Well delivered, funny, but nothing off the cuff. Edwards is gettng to ride on the fact that the WORD is usually funny.
Edwards Humor factor out of 10: 6
After tonight, Colbert Report has more status and credibility than the F word News channel. Seriously, Obama just sealed the deal in Penn Country.
I am watching it right now on the west coast. Hilary Clinton just appeared and was very contrived. Why does she have to have the whole thing scripted? She is actually funny. Stop controlling every second and relax.
Hilary humor factor out of 10: 2
edwards gets the bump...and hopefully a jet ski...he was the only one that actually seemed genuine and could make fun of himself...too bad the only democratic canidate with half a brain droped out..o well McCain will earn the job as the party ruins itself..i have to go to bed now my dad said i wont be able to get my jet ski..
P.S. Clinton shoulda fixed the screen by telling them to unplug it then put the plug back in...for all u south park fans out there
This is without a doubt Stephen Colbert's most brilliant show yet. One can't help but truly appreciate the respect Colbert showed his viewers, the "Nation", tonight. The timing couldn't have been better with the degrading and utterly disappointing debate last night hosted by "Gibsonopolous." Thanks for leading the effort for a more informed and intelligent Nation. You're Awesome Stephen Colbert! :)
Obama's wit was RIGHT ON. Since Clinton supporters only understand slapstick comedy (the kind that pokes you in the eye and tells you to laugh), they can't be expected to get the nuanced inside-joke banter the two shared.
Those of you who have watched Colbert before, here's the transcript of Obama's time with Colbert. It is hilarious. Way funnier than Clinton's mock-meta-mockery (fake, fake, fake).
T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U, STEPHEN. (OBAMA, we love you. We don't need a president who swears his first allegiance to Israel, like Mrs "massive retaliation" war-monger Clinton.)
....
Stephen: I enjoyed the debate last night, though I have to take issue with you calling some of the questions manufactured political distractions.
Obama: Well Stephen, I think the American people are tired of these political games and petty distractions
Stephen: Sir, speaking for the news media, speaking for the news media, we are not tired of it. It allows us to ask the same questions over and over again. It’s a lot less work.
Obama: Stephen, these distractions they won’t help us fix our economy, they won’t help get people health care. They won’t get us out of Iraq. Stephen, I would go so far as to say I want to put these political distractions on notice.
Stephen: What!?
Obama: Boys, bring out the on notice board.
Stephen: What?
Stephen: Senator, I have to warn you, I probably don’t have a card for distractions.
(Stephen sifts through a card box)
Let me I see I’ve got Dimetapp, Dionne Warwick, Deion Sanders, Dion comma Celine, Dirigibiles, There we go! Distractions!
Okay senator, uh, something’s gonna have to come off, what should I remove?
Obama: Well it can’t be grizzly bears, they are the number one threat to America.
Stephen: Good man
Obama: I think we should take off James Brady, he's a good guy.
Stephen; Alright, Brady. This is your lucky day.
(Stpehen pulls off Brady)
Stephen: Okay here we go - distractions, I hope you're paying attention.
(Stephen puts in Distraction)
Stephen: Wham! How's that taste?
Obama: Manufactured, manufactured political distractions, you are officially on notice.
Stephen: Thank you Senator Obama. Thank you Philly!

Obama was funny! His response to Stephen's joke about Hillary's reaction to his appearance on the screen she "fixed", and grizzly bears #1 threat to America, coming from the Dem candidate gets the laugh, he made that line funny. Likewise his other lines; he was having fun. Clinton was her usual wooden self, though also having fun. John Edwards was the gem however .. wow! It sure made me miss his being around [sigh]... Seems like so long ago he was in the running. His segment was a real treat, unforced, funny, and fun. As for the candidates, Obama gets the bump! Great job Stephen and crew, the show was a blast!
