Barack Obama on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart - How Did He Do?

POSTED BY: TheInDecider

Barack Obama's last television appearance on the night before the Pennsylvania primary was on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.   After a few rough weeks on the campaign trail including a vicious debate on ABC, will his appearance on The Daily Show be enough to push him over the edge in Pennsylvania?

Various polls say various things, running up to the primary, so the question is, will his appearance give him the advantage?   Was it enough that he put to rest the rumors regarding his white slave trade plans?

How do you think he did?

Also, yes, Primanti Brothers appears to still be open.

  1. I too, have a total crush on the thought of Obama as president. Don't blame Jon for showing his feelings. I totally agree, Barbara - Hillary is not an overly ambitious shrew at all! She is a dirty, cheat and a liar.

  2. I truly can no longer watch the Daily Show-as a matter of fact, I hate it. I can't watch Jon fawn over Obama and paint Hillary as an overly ambitious shrew. It's not fair or funny. Jon has permanently alienated a lot of Hillary supporters. I may not have always agreed w/ the show's point of view but at least it was funny. Now it's just a 30 min political commercial for a candidate not everyone supports. The show and Jon have lost a lot of credibility w/ me.

  3. Well Jon Here we are hoping for this man to win and not caring what he really stands for or the lobbyist that will own him, Be real, he is just another man claiming to change Our Country, which his Church hates , Something to think about Jon, I know I was influenced by my church, but you say he isnt. Hmmm You have such insight to this Obama guy. Like you did Kerry? Oh No here we go 8 more yrs of Republicans Thanks Jon.. You dont have the best track record on picking people to run Our Country.. For sure. Maybe when he grows up he might be ready but not now, and Change cant just be his resume. I for one want more out of my President.

  4. Obviously, the Penn. primary is over and Sen. Obama didn't win.
I mainly just wanted to let Jon know that Primanti Brothers is still open, and actually has several locations throughout the Pittsburgh area.

  5. The real winners tonight far and away 24 hour news networks.

Mathematically, very little has changed in regards to the overall race. Hillary would still need to get the superdelegates to get the nomintaion.

But because the 8.6% victory (According to the official PA website) keeps Clinton's hopes for a backroom deal alive, the major news networks get to ride this high ratings gravy train for at least two more weeks.

  7. Check the math on Obama's "double digit" win.... I get 9.38% It looks like the classic "round-before-the-final answer" mistake was made. You're only suppose to round numbers at the very end of a calculation... Otherwise, you end up with.. say 10% rather than 9%.

Would someone on the Jon Stewart show check the numbers?

  8. Yes, like Sen. Clinton, Obama got an extra platform the night of the primary. And like with the Clinton interview, John asked only vapid questions. It seemed funnier, if that's any consolation to everyone (it's at least a bit to me).

  9. I was shocked to hear Jon Stewart ask Obama if his plan was to enslave the white race. Jon may have thought it was funny, but it goes right to the heart of racial fear and racism. Did he ask Hillary Clinton if she was going to castrate all American men? I did think Jon's interview with Clinton prior to the primary was a total puff job. He was neutral with Obama, except for this question which was really over the line....about as subtle as Bill Clinton's innocent messages on race in this campaign. I am a loyal viewer, but was really stunned by this question.

  10. Jon,

If you read this, next time you and Obama appear together, make sure you guys match ties again... its very cute!

Also, thank you for asking perhaps the most paranoid question of the campaign thus far.

PS: You should reassign whoever is coming up with the blog's questions... ad populous... but then again, that's showbiz...
