John McCain's Guide to Training Women in the Workplace

POSTED BY: Karen Lurie

Women in the workplace. It's a problem we've all had to put up with for a while now. But John McCain remembers a time when that particular scourge was no more common than a touch tone telephone. Perhaps that's why he opposes a Senate bill that seeks equal pay for women:

"They need the education and training, particularly since more and more women are heads of their households, as much or more than anybody else," McCain said. "And it's hard for them to leave their families when they don't have somebody to take care of them."

Well ladies, it's lucky for you that John McCain is a man who puts his money where his mouth is:

  3. Samian... you're just a beautiful dreamer! McCain has never supported anything that helped balance the workplace on the basis of race or gender. Obamagramma - the only thing I'd add is that not only divorce first wife (while ill) to marry young blonde spoiled rich only-child - but just to be sure you're getting a good deal. Be sure to dally with young blonde first. No question he had an affair with Cindy before the end of his marriage. His EXTREMELY gracious first wife (whose alimony is likely tied to his income) says they wouldn't have gotten divorced except that he couldn't believe he wasn't still 20 (in other words... he had a mid-life crisis and wanted to bang young'uns). Clearly, when you see how much Vicky looked like a young Cindy - there should be very little doubt as to how 'platonic' THAT relationship was!

  5. To Samian:
So he doesn't think women should be allowed to sue companies for equal pay for the same job? He IS supporting a double standard! He DOES NOT think women deserve equal pay, if he doesn't allow them to litigate for UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. He supports the Republican status quo, which is: support corporations and screw your constituents so you can be elected.

  7. Another distortion of Senator McCain's record - he DOES support equal pay for women!

What he does NOT support is this bill, which is craftily designed to cause more litigation!

  9. McCain's Theory of The Ladies: Divorce first wife. Marry young blond heiress. Waste family money in politics. Dally with lobbyists. Tell others how to be hard working.

  10. Wow! McCain wants to time-warp women back to the 1950's! What a windfall!!! All women will be forced to stay at home and nag our husbands into early graves. We will rule America the way it SHOULD be run, better than the men of course. We will bring new prosperity to the country by our thriftiness with the all the proceeds from the men's life insurance pay-outs! And we'll start the belt-tightening by not having funerals for them-just a good swig of their aged whiskey, so we'll have enough money to tip the beach waiters in Majorca...
