UPDATE: What I've learned from this interview so far -
- He's not sure what his Secret Service code name is, but thinks it's "Jerk."
- If he were to wear a propaganda t-shirt, it would have to be glow in the dark.
- John McCain has an excellent sense of comedic timing.
- McCain's out of context "100 years"quote was taken out of context.
- Politics is dissimilar to to bean bag.
- Dwight Schrute? WTF?

PL, I appreciate you taking the time to engage in conversation. And I have done my own research. The issues that trouble me go far beyond the newsletter problem. But, at the end of the day, his name was at the top of that newsletter and represented him, whether he knew it or not. I find the dislocation between what he claims to be his message and what is printed in HIS newsletter troubling. So its either incompetence or he approves of the content.
To be honest, what I really believe is that a very cynical plan was hatched to leverage the anger of the white power movement for revenue generation. And it has spun out of control

I spent a few hours researching and reading on the topic because I was upset when it came up and was afraid that the reports were true. After doing a bunch of research I was able to find an overwhelming volume of evidence contrary to the stories, and from much more credible sources too. You seem to be sold on the fact that there were a few claims (from questionable individuals) and a few pictures of him at events with 100s of other people.
Greg, While it has been my strict policy to ignore comments such as yours, I feel you may be someone who is willing to learn and do some research. The newsletters you refer to are old news and have been debunked, rejected and investigated ad nauseum including by The New York Times. Ron Paul has always been a champion of individual rights. I believe you will find everything I say here to be true. You can check his lifelong voting record, and all of his writings very easily on the web. In fact, I would invite you to read Ron Paul's new book, "The Revolution." I believe you may be smart enough to appreciate the significance of this masterpiece. I would even give you mine if I could. On second thought, it is a first edition, so I will have to keep it.

Remember when John Wayne Gacy posed for this picture with Rosalyn Carter, and then she went on a murdering spree? Yeah, neither do I. Being in the public eye and taking your picture with 100s if not 1000s of people per day will eventually lead to something like this happening.

Brian, did you bother to read the article and investigate any of the numerous troubling examples of RP cozying up to hate groups?

Please have bestselling author Ron Paul on your show. His campaign has had much success and his campaign continues despite a near media blackout. It would be great to have a Ron Paul debate McCain one time so that people could understand their differences. Dr. Paul got so little speaking time at the debates.
P.S. Great idea to suggest Hillary as McCain's running mate. They are pretty close on policy matters.
Well Brian, those allegations may have been put to rest for you, but they certainly weren't for me. In fact, I was pretty shocked how lax Paul was in responding. And a statement from a single person does nothing to put the issue to rest.

Being black, and a Ron Paul supporter that has had the great pleasure of meeting the good Doctor, let me tell you that he is far from racist. And even if he were, his values speak for all mankind, to include those of ALL races. Freedom knows no color, and no bounds. He'll even accept you back into the blanket of freedom, Greg. So let not your heart be troubled. When Ron Paul wins, you will have a spot at the table too. The same can not be said for you should any of the other phonies that care nothing for you, this country or the true american way of life. Long live the Constitution. Long live the true americans, the true guardians of Liberty and Freedom. Long live Ron Paul.
