Mike Huckabee Has the VP Ying to McCain's Presidential Yang

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

It seems that Mike Huckabee might be angling toward becoming John McCain's running mate...

"There's no one I would rather be on a ticket with than John McCain," the former Arkansas governor said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

"Let me point out that all during the campaign, when I was his rival, not a running mate, there was no one who was more complimentary of him publicly and privately," he said.

And that is absolutely, true. Upon some careful examination, we've discovered some unquestionably complimentary traits of McCain and Huckabee...

McCain: has taken heat from the religious right
Huckabee: has a low -cal lunch with Jesus every other Tuesday

McCain: Recently lost standing with moderate Democrats
Huckabee: Has never had any standing with moderate Democrats

McCain: Has extensive foreign policy experience
Huckabee: Has no foreign policy experience

McCain: Has pushed for campaign finance reform
Huckabee: Has been hounded by allegations of improper campaign contributions during his time as Arkansas Governor

McCain: Thinks good friend Sen. Joe Lieberman is alright in his book
Huckabee: Has read about Jews in the Good Book

  1. The Washington elitists may not like Huckabee but the American people sure do! Huckabee gets no press for 2 months now and he still pulls out far ahead in the Rasmussen polls taken 7/25-27-08 showing he helps Senator McCain's ticket a full 8 pts., Pawlenty 1 point and Romney actually hurts the ticket with a minus 6. Survey usa election polls taken across all the swing states in June also revealed Huckabee helped McCain most, even beat out Romney in MA!!! It is clear that the people want Mike....Will McCain listen to the people he represents or the Washington elitists we have come to detest?? Time will tell......

  4. Huckabee knows this is his only chance to be President. No ill will intended, but at McCains age there is a chance he may pass in office. Then Mike can rewrite the constitution, but more important he owes Chuck Norris, and you don't want to get Chuck mad.

  6. What is going on with this election!? It's like a bunch of hamsters in heat crawling all over each other. (Eww. Clinton/Obama/McCain Threesome. NASTY IMAGE!) Do we really want to go back to the pre-Super Tuesday GOP Primary well? Do we need to remind everyone that Mitt Romney's business experience led him to spend $35M and LOSE!? Or how about Giuliani's revelation that Sean Astin is STILL America's favorite RUDY!? (Hi, Sean!)

Honestly, People! "Won't someone please think of the children!?"

  7. McCain: Ridicules Obama's knowledge of guns and hunting.
Huckabee: Thinks pulling a gun on Obama is fucking hilarious.
