Where in the World Do People Know the Least About Barack Obama?

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

Hint: if you have a Jewish grandmother, she probably lives there.

South Florida is "the most concentrated area in the country in terms of misinformation" about Mr. Obama, said Representative Robert Wexler, Democrat of Florida, the co-chairman of the Obama campaign in the state.

Your beloved bubbe and her pals from the shuffleboard court are, indeed, awfully misinformed...

Mr. Obama is Arab, Jack Stern's friends told him in Aventura. (He's not.)

He is a part of Chicago's large Palestinian community, suspects Mindy Chotiner of Delray. (Wrong again.)

[Jeremiah] Wright is the godfather of Mr. Obama's children, asserted Violet Darling in Boca Raton. (No, he's not.)

Al Queda is backing him, said Helena Lefkowicz of Fort Lauderdale (Incorrect.)

Michelle Obama has proven so hostile and argumentative that the campaign is keeping her silent, said Joyce Rozen of Pompano Beach. (Mrs. Obama campaigns frequently, drawing crowds in her own right.)

According to the Times, these rumors have spread because many American Jews - especially older ones - are worried about Obama's attitude toward Israel, and because they recall tensions between the Jewish and African-American communities. Obama's gonna have to pull out all the stops to change their minds...

Now the half-Kenyan-by-way-of-Hawaii candidate, who only recently completed a beer-and-bowling tour to impress blue-collar Midwesterners, has committed more fully to showing off his inner Jew.

Of course: the bagel-and-kvetching tour, starring Barack Oy-bama as you've never seen him before. That Georgie Bush! What a shonde. And that putz Dick Cheney, I tell you. A disgrace to his family. What is with these Republicans and their failed economic policies? Crazy in the head. You know, ladies, maybe it's time for some change in this country. Change, and a nice cup of soup, nu?

  3. Since many of these people are probably beset by senile dementia...they will probably vote for McSame, anyway. But whom do you think is fueling this fire? The same people who pushed the primary ahead so that Democratic votes would not count. The Repugnants, of course! Those sly devils are working behind the scene. Florida was crucial in 2000 to "The Decider". The Repugnants are at it again!

Ickes: We want the Michigan uncommitted to stay uncommitted

In a conference call with reporters, Clinton Senior Adviser Harold Ickes clarified their position on Michigan -- they don't want the 55 "uncommitted" delegates to go to Obama (his name did not appear on the ballot in Michigan).

There have been reports that some of the uncommitted delegates in Michigan already selected are union supporters of Clinton. This solution, unsurprisingly, would make it much harder for Obama to clinch a pledged delegate majority.

Last week, the Clinton campaign was agnostic on the issue -- but they seem to ratcheting up the noise, or at least their negotiating position.

Ickes also mentions that the co-chairs of the Rules and Bylaws Committee -- which will rule on Florida and Michigan on May 31 -- have been holding "informal meetings" with leaders of both of the campaigns.

That means Obama gets nothing! How much of a fair vote is that!
    Scorched Earth in progress people!
