The Force is With Ron Paul's Fans in Montana

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

Oh, those Ron Paul supporters. They are nothing if not persistent. Or, rather, they are nothing but persistent.

The Montana GOP got a chance to see this persistent persistence in person late last week at the state's convention...

The group [of Paulies] led an impassioned fight Friday at the Montana GOP convention, shaking things up in a failed effort to secure the state's 22 national convention delegates for Paul -- who suspended his presidential bid earlier this month.

It was a real nail-biter, but in the end, yeah, that didn't work out so well. At least the Sisyphean effort made one person feel warm and validated (hint: he suspended his presidential bid earlier this month)...

Earlier in the evening, Paul told the crowd that his support in Montana was the best he had received anywhere.

"Montana's been treating me quite well," he said. "The spirit is alive here."

And who needs contact with reality when you've got the spirit?

  2. The best argument for Ron Paul is a 5 minute conversation with any other candidate.

What is so wrong with freedom, civil liberties, a sound monetary policy, non-interventionism, and returning to the consitition?
The alternative is :McCain (this is the "Republicrat we are left with)
Or: Obama (If I say the word Change enough, people might fall for it).
    Great choices we have.
I'll probably vote for Barr. There is no way the remaining candidates would get my vote - they are both the CFR same.

  4. He should have stayed in until the convention. Now he's totally peripheral without a platform.

  5. "It would be great if Ron Paul teamed up with Ralph Nader! It would be so interesting, it couldn't be worse than what we have in power today. America would be it's own reality show.

I don't know, do you think America might be looking for an alternative? You know, someone who is really about change.

It's not that bad of an idea to have a republican run for president either, ya know. If you were in touch with reality you'd know McCain isn't a republican at all.

I appreciate Ind08's psuedo endorsements of Obama for the socialist party and McCain for the democrats. But, are the republicans running as a 3rd Party this year?

BTW indecision 08 hasn't been funny for about 6 months, thanks a lot guys, buts it's over, time to pack up your cubes and go back mowing rupert's lawn and grooming his cats

    You stink

  8. I have read about Ron Paul. I first thought he was crazy, but after looking into what he actually thinks, I think the republicans choose the wrong person in John McCain.
