In a Completely Surprising Turn of Events, George Bush and Dick Cheney Have Decided to Ignore the Environment

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

I am absolutely shocked -- shocked! -- by this story from the Washington Post...

The Bush administration has decided not to take any new steps to regulate greenhouse gas emissions before the president leaves office, despite pressure from the Supreme Court and broad accord among senior federal officials that new regulation is appropriate now...

"They argued that this increase in regulation should be on the next president's record," not Bush's, said a participant in the lengthy interagency debate, referring principally to officials in the office of Vice President Cheney, on the White House Council on Environmental Quality, on the National Economic Council and in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

I can understand that. They've got six months left; why would they want to screw up a perfect score of zero for 3,726 in siding with citizens over corporate buddies? That would just be stupid.

Look, George Bush knows his baseball. So, he knows that when you've got this kind of a streak going, you don't make any changes to your routine.

  1. Under Bushit, the EPA - the ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Agency - has become a joke. The Clean Air Act has become gutted.

PLEASE VOTE FOR OBAMA in November. This country, this planet cannot afford another Bush term.

  3. Can't handle the pressure, so they're passing the buck. Fairly easy one, at that. But they're dead set in creating diplomatic havoc in the Middle East by backing Israel's bellicosity. Way to go, jerks.
