Hillary Clinton Prepares to Fight for Healthy Robust Chipmunks in 2012

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

Mark Ambinder found some interesting internet on the internet this morning...

A company associated with Hillary Clinton's top presidential campaign advance staff has purchased a website domain that hints of a 2012 presidential bid for the vanquished senator from New York.

HRC2012.com was bought by the Markham Group on June 8, according to whois.com.

Greg Hale of the Markham Group served as a key advance aide to Sen. Clinton, organizing political events for the campaign. The Markham website calls him the "lead consultant for advance and visual messaging." Partners Paul Neaville and Robert McClarty (the son of former White House chief of staff Thomas "Mack" McClarty) also worked on Clinton's advance team. According to whois.com, the site was registered by Todd Wilder, a longtime Democratic operative from Florida.

A picture of Clinton pops up when the company's website is called up.

Okay, okay. Everybody settle down. This doesn't necessarily mean Hillary Clinton is plotting a second run at the White House. It's not like they registered HillaryForPresidentII.com or HillaryClintonIsRunningForPresidentAgainIn2012.com.

They registered hrc2012.com. That could stand for pretty much anything, if you think about it. And I'm sure you will think about it, so feel free to speculate wildly in the comments.

  1. Hey, I never said the Mayans were right....just that Hilary running again doesn't herald the apocalypse. As we all know from internet posts, it's Obama who's the Antichrist. And don't get me started on how effed up that is...

  3. Thank you for your timely accuracy on the Mayan prediction of the end of the world, iowagradstudent! My info came from a comic strip, "Argyle Sweater", in my local newspaper, so I wasn't really being factual, more tongue-in-cheek.
I'd like to point out that sometime in the future, nuclear war, global famine, and a pandemic disease for which there's no cure, will hasten the end of the world way before that date you gave, 4772. Mankind will destroy the earth much sooner than that, IMO.

  4. Let me give you the correct dates on that. There's no year 0 so the world started in 3114 BCE, and because I suck at mental math, the 19th and potentially last bak'tun will end in 4772

Which is all totally off-topic, but this misinformation is everywhere, and it must be stopped!

  5. If McCain wins in November, it might not be a bad idea for the Democrats to have a back-up plan in 2012.

Now, let me take this opportunity to be a giant know-it-all and point out that the Mayans did NOT predict the world would end in 2012. The current bak'tun will end in December of 2012. A bak'tun is a period of 144,000 days (about 394 years). This will be the 13th bak'tun since the world began in 3113 BCE (I may be off on that year, i'd have to double check). 13, however, is not where one would "run out" of bak'tuns. That would most likely be after 20 (the Mayan numeral system is based on 20 rather than 10), so we really don't have to worry about the world ending until 4771.

  6. 2012 is when Hillary's 2008 debts will be paid back.

  7. 2012, 2012...isn't that the year the Mayans foretold would be the end of the world??? She just can't win for losing!

  8. This can't be a joke. The first website advertised is, "Meet Army Hotties." Either Bill's going for the military babe demographic or Hilliary is a heterosexual.

  9. It makes me crazy to think there are people who plan their lives more than 15 minutes ahead too.
