The Daily Show: John McCain Launches His Humble Campaign

POSTED BY: TheInDecider

A new John McCain ad wants us to believe Barack Obama is a celebrity who can't lead this country -- just like Paris Hilton. This Obama elitist strategy may have worked, as the media starts to question his arrogance. It's a good thing John McCain is so unassuming.

Vote McCain, he's nothing special and would probably make a terrible president. Will this humble strategy work?

  1. If you want to know what McCain *really* thinks, and his feelings for his "little eskimo", see http://thedailymccain.com/2008/09/02/blog-6-my-little-eskimo/

  2. And, let's not forget what they did to Max Cleland. If they can dump on a vet in a wheelchair, and get away with it while draping themselves in vet's blood, and pretending to love vets, and this country they fought for, that's gotta take the cake for lowdown dirty tricks.

  4. Let's not forget who the Bush Administration threw under the bus...a VERY respected Gen. Colon Powell.

That poor bastard is probably the biggest victim of this administration (atleast among those still living).

Don't blame the dems. They believed what Colon Powell was saying...and I still think he believed it then too. His golden reputation was destroyed so that Bush could have his way with, well, everything!

  5. Humble...

Not quite the word I would choose...

More like laissez faire...the dumbass just opened his office in Greenville last week! Obama's office has been up and running since March! Talk about a day late and $100M short!

    Humble my ass!

  6. Yes, I feel let down, that Obama has gone "centrist," on drilling, leaving Nancy Pelosi, to stand up to the Grand Oil Party. However, when you fall down that rabbit hole, of thinking both parties are the same, you risk seeing the huge differences.

I doubt we'd be in this fake "energy crisis" if Gore's election hadn't been rigged and decided by Scalia. Ever notice, how there's always a fake energy crisis, whenever there's an election, or an opponent to smear?

Let's not forget who wrote and pushed through the "patriot" act, FISA, Iraq, Torture, etc. The Republicans have wanted to spy on us since Nixon.

I do fault Democrats, for letting Cheney and Rove scare them with Anthrax, and intimidate us all to support the GOP's oily agenda. The differeences between the two parties, with the Dems often caving in to the ridiculous and reckless policies of the Bush Admin, is often obliterated. The differences though, however slight, are big, when you magnify them over the next 20 years.

Are we going to be even more at the mercy of the oil companies? Supporting their wars, buying their gas at manipulated and rigged prices, and then giving them more of our protected lands, plus welfare to drill?

Democrats need to take a stand, again, against fatcats and bloated corporate welfare, like Halliburton, Blackwater, and giving Exxon welfare to drill for the next 20 years, for only a drop in the bucket and we'll be right back where we are now, with no alternative energy plan in place.

If National Security is so damn important, to us all, why aren't we pulling out all the stops to develop a way out of oil? If the middle east has the lion's share of it, why are we investing in tech that benefits them, not us, in the long term? It's crazy. We are the Saudi Arabia of Wind.

The sun beats down, day in and day out. Don't tell me it should all just go to waste. The air conditioning alone for all those govt. buildings should be run on solar or wind.

THAT is the difference, between the two, Obama is at least on board with alternative ideas, and has an actual plan. McSame offers prizes, but nothing to help it actually get done.

I guess he just wants us to continue to eat cake. Don't mind the oil.

  10. "Where did he take a dump on Paris?"

    It's over your head, apparently.

"People still watch him and Colbert?"

yes, for people under 60 who don't spend all day watching Fox News, it's one of the most popular shows.

"...good job trying to pull for anything to sh*t on McCain, Jon."

Jon Stewart has had McCain on his show as a guest more than any other of the candidates combined.

I suppose you are either old as hell or are just simply crusty and bitter

"Where did he take a dump on Paris? The commercial used two of the most famous faces in the States. It had nothing to do with Paris, but good job trying to pull for anything to sh*t on McCain, Jon.

People still watch him and Colbert?
