Rupert Murdoch-Owned New York Post Innocently Stumbles Upon MSNBC Anchor Blood Feud

POSTED BY: Eric March

Responding to allegations that he has been using his anchor perch to infect his convention coverage with liberal commentary, Keith Olbermann is taking the gloves off and smacking them back and forth across Tom Brokaw's cheeks.

At a forum on Sunday, when Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell called MSNBC "the official network of the Obama campaign," Brokaw said, "I think Keith has gone too far. I think Chris has gone too far."

Insiders say Olbermann is pushing to have Brokaw banned from the network.

In related news, the Provincetown Players have announced that Liev Schreiber "is not welcome" to appear in their fall production of "Talk Radio," and the Clark, IA Chamber of Commerce is pushing to have Michael Phelps banned from the community pool.

  1. Brokaw is a tool with a wounded ego, nothing more.

  2. I'm sick of the Olbermann - O'Reilly feud & let Brokaw say what he wants to soothe a Governor. Chill-lax.

  3. Analogizing the Provincetown Players closing the theatre doors to Liev Schreiber for Talk Radio was spot on. Except, the Provincetown Players have greater standing to make that decision than Olbermann could ever hope to when it comes to Brokaw.

  4. NY Post does not qualify as a good source on MSNBC, since their parent company owns Fox News!!

MSNBC is partisan, but viewers know that. The most balanced coverage is on PBS. And if you want no spin at all, watch C-SPAN.

  5. I still like Olbermann, but he spends 30 minutes on the same meaningless crap like gaffes and petty scandals and then takes three significant stories and crams them into 90 seconds of "Bushed". And Chris Matthews is just so awful I can't stand to watch him.

Olbermann's thing against O'Reilly seems kind of pathological at this point. I'm really starting to worry that Keith's rapidly expanding ego is going to destroy what's left of his sharp mind.

After seeing Keith interviewed on Bill Moyers I realized there is somebody in there who could really elevate cable news, but he just doesn't seem to be trying very hard to do that.

  6. I like both Brokaw and Olbermann. Both could use a bit of improvement, Olbermann to curb his tongue a bit when he's playing with a team and not on Countdown... Brokaw to actually call the people he interviews on their lies and spin.

On the whole, MSNBC does more to 'get to the truth' than any other cable news outlet besides CSPAN.

This little drama will feed FOX for weeks, way to go Brokaw.
