John McCain Campaign Honors This Day in American Shame
All week long, we've been lulled into submission by Democrats in Commie Red pantsuits who'd like us to believe that this week marks the anniversary of the I Have A Dream speech and a woman's right to vote.
Well the McCain campaign has some news for you: It's high time we started commemorating horrible, divisive events as well!
It was forty years ago today that Barack Obama friend and political ally, and unrepentant terrorists [sic], William Ayers was arrested while protesting the DNC proceedings. William Ayers set no bombs that day, but he was only working his way up from petty criminal to domestic terrorist. And of course this was long before Barack Obama and he struck up the friendship that would lead Ayers to launch Obama's political career at his house.
Still, the McCain campaign would take this opportunity to remind voters that those responsible for the violence in 1968 have since been incorporated into the party they once protested, and have been revered even by the likes of Barack Obama, and this despite the failure, in the case of Ayers, to ever apologize for the violence he committed against the American people.
What a rallying cry! One can only hope they'll be able to frame the ream of toilet paper Karl Rove originally shat that onto. Perhaps it can become the party charter from here onward.
On the topic, the McCain campaign would also like you to know that this year marks the 89th anniversary of Barack Obama's favorite team, the Chicago White Sox, fixing the World Series, and that Election Day will be held on the 13th anniversary of Yitzhak Rabin's assassination.

That, is hilarious.
I got news for McWorse though. It's not cool or funny to be dumb, any more.
We need a statesman in the Oval Office. We need someone smart enough to lead us in the right direction. Not just fall in lockstep with the Grand Oil Party.
You can use all the fear tactics you want, from taxes to drilling. Fact is, the Neo Cons are feeding you a line, while grubbing in your pocket for more tax dollars to hand out in the streets of Baghdad, while Bin Laden and the Taliban have a party and plot to kill us.
Now, I will give you - when I first heard Obama speak, and talk about going after Bin Laden, over Hillary's glazed-over follow-the-republicans-into-war stance, I had hope. Yeah. I had hope. That he was different. I switched my vote, from Hillary to Obama.
Then he voted for FISA, and changed his stance on drilling. So yeah, it became more of a "lesser of two evils" thing, like every other election, I've ever voted in.
But I will say, after his speech tonight, I'm renewed in my hope for America.
He is every bit the statesman I thought he was, and I truly believe he will be a great leader.
Someone who will do what an American Leader should do - give us faith and hope in our country, energize the citizenry, and call us to arms. We are in a battle here, for the very fiber and survival of our great country, and our planet.
As a mother, who worries about the skyrocketing asthma rates, mercury poisoning, and toxins in our sippy cups, lead in our toys, and Cheney giving out a free pass to any polluter with the money to bribe him, I'm concerned. Very concerned. Something needs to be done.
So, yes, maybe all the McHype and funny stuff about him being "the one" took him down a notch, as reality set in, that he's still a politician.
However, I still see in him, leadership qualities we have not seen in this country for a very, very long time.
Say what you want about him, but he is a statesman. He not only writes some of his own speeches, like the one he gave at the last DNC, but he is direct, he is forceful, and he is strong.
He seems like a much better father figure for this country, than crazy old granpaw McCain. McCain is a good soldier and obedient follower, who has traded his straight talk for Cheney's Chicken Hawk Squawk.
Fear tactics, smear campaigns, dirty tricks, with Karl Rove's stink all over it. Bad taste in my mouth. That's not America. That's not what we stand for. We don't trash our vets, like they did to Kerry, and even McCain, when Bush and the Chicken Hawks used those same tactics to call McCain "crazy" and insinuate he had a "black child."
That's not what will inspire this nation to greatness, and lead us again into a place of respect and hope not just for this great country, but for the rest of the world. No, for that, we need a statesman. We need a constitutional scholar. Not a guy who's only claim to fame is that he was a POW. You'd think, a POW would be outraged by a party that supports torture. Maverick, my patootie.
Give our brave vets decent health care, and make damn sure they've got body armor, before you send them off to war based on a lies. Bush used our national grief, to skip off to Iraq, and now, our soldiers are once again, being killed in Afghanistan with new attacks by Al Quada.
Weapons factories in Pakistan are being blown up by the Taliban and Al Quada. What's next? They get their hands on Pakistan's nukes? When is someone going to do something about Pakistan, for God's sakes? Bush is too inept. McCain's only strategy is war.
We need a statesman. We need someone with the intelligence to know, you don't sabotage the intelligence who has tracked Al quada for years. Ask Richard Clarke. Find out why terrorist expert John O'Neill left Bush's FBI in disgust, so convinced was he that Bin Laden was determined to strike, he went to work for the World Trade Center, as head of security. He died there, on 9/11. Talk about an X-File.
This is real, folks. 9/11 happened on Bush's Watch! Even though, the memo was circulated, that Bin Laden was determined to attack. It's either gross negligence and dereliction of duty, or something worse.
Time for a change. And McWorse ain't bringin' it.

I'm being all congratulatory-like, right before, during, and after Obama's speech. You don't even need to hear his speech to know that I'm the magnanimousiest. And I was a POW. Barack can't touch that. He's just a pretty boy. But his achievements, which are non-existent, are "historic." If you know what I mean. Nothing compared to life in a POW camp or anything. I mean, he's no maverick. Did I mention that I was a POW? Barack Obama does not have the experience in a prison camp necessary to lead this great country. The only prison he's ever been to is the bad kind. You know, probably visiting one of his friends. You know which ones. The "historic" kind that he used to hang out with back in Chicago. Did I mention that Obama, whom I graciously and non-partisanly congratulation on his candidacy, is a liberal media darling and an empty suit? The press has been ignoring me for the last week of the Democratic Convention. Or at least the last 15 minutes. Why isn't Obama doing better against me in the polls? I was a POW. It's the pictures that got smaller....

That press release could have been condensed into three words: "We're fucking desperate."
In order to associate it with his elitist angle on Obama, McCain makes crime and terrorism sound so hierarchical! What's between "petty criminal" and "domestic terrorist"? Minor-scuffle-protest-worker? What are the benefits like? I know you get dental with Hamas, but the Weathermen are good with Christmas bonuses; Al Quaida does a festive easter basket, with a 5% sharehold option to martyred-employee of the year.
The American people know BS when they smell it. Unfortunately, some people like that smell.
Now that is just gross. Shame on John McCain.
