Catching Up With A Loser! The Pages are pleased to present the next in our list of 2008 presidential losers: Law and Order star and Elmer Fudd stand-in Sen. Fred Thompson! Thompson, a former Republican Senator from Tennessee, never intended to run for president. He was happy in retirement, making TV appearances and nailing a woman six years younger than his own son. For months, he ignored a burgeoning "Draft Thompson" movement until finally he was tricked into entering the race by a fast-talking rabbit.

Outsmarted and resigned to his candidacy, Thompson plotted a quick exit from the race by refusing to learn anything about the issues, skipping debates, and describing Latino immigrants as "suicidal maniacs [who] want to kill innocent men, women, and children." But much to Thompson’s chagrin, he somehow led in the polls going into July 2007!

John McCain Also Has a Miracle Vitamin Supplement He'd Like to Tell You About

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

The Democrats have been hogging the media spotlight lately, because let's face it, things are nuts.

Meanwhile John McCain is still wandering around the country talking to his friends, my friends, and yesterday he made a pit stop in Nashville. There he shared a stage with Bill Frist and Fred Thompson, and he took the opportunity to put this nation's priorities straight...

Mr. McCain, who told the crowd that the new "Gone Country" show is coming soon on CMT, showed that even though Memorial Day has come and gone, he is still pushing his proposal to cut the federal gas tax from Memorial Day to Labor Day -– an idea that Senator Barack Obama, and many economists, dismissed as a gimmick.

"I'd like to have some more, quote, gimmicks to give low income Americans a little relief," Mr. McCain said, to applause.

Shilling a Country Music Television show and taking a bold stand for more gimmick-related fiscal policy? Wow. Give this guy a couple of months and he'll be on QVC hawking his Perma-War Deluxe Mongering Kit, only $525,133,006,473.99 plus shipping.

I hear the instruction booklet comes in extra-large print for the older folks.
