In a USA Today/Gallup Poll released today (tomorrow's print edition), John McCain and Sarah Palin now lead Barack Obama and that other guy by 10 points.
In the new poll, taken Friday through Sunday, McCain leads Obama by 54%-44% among those seen as most likely to vote. The survey of 1,022 adults, including 959 registered voters, has a margin of error of +/— 3 points for both samples.
I'm really happy to see this poll. Not so much because it puts McCain in the lead, but because it points out the true value of the Gallup organization.
McCain should have chosen Oprah, she has about as much right to be president as anyone, plus she has WAY more executive experience than any of them.. not to mention she has the name recognition thing down pat. People in Borneo know who Oprah is!!!
NOTE: If you're not seeing both polls, refresh the page, we're having some sort of technical problem right now. Our apologies.
Today marks one year from inauguration day 2009. That means that exactly one year from today, King President Bush will be handing the keys to the castle Whitehouse over to our new duly elected representitive.
We were watching Meet The Press this morning, and Tim Russert, speaking from Studio 8H (yes, the same studio in which Saturday Night Live is shot. How appropriate) wanted to end his show by polling his guests to see whom they thought would be taking the oath of office one year from today. Sadly, he ran out of time.
So we turn the question over to you. Which one of our candidates will by the most successfull panderer between now and November of this year?
Oh, for those of you who are bit... unbalanced, and don't see your preferred candidate in the above poll, we also offer you our "special" poll.
If you vote in the second poll, please explain yourself in the comments.
