John Edwards is the Only One (Sort of)

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

John Edwards, apparently believing himself to still be a viable candidate, today released four new ten-second ads in South Carolina.

Typical campaign ads run 30-60 seconds, so presumably the length and (ahem) production quality were picked to cut costs. The problem is that it takes three seconds to say "I'm John Edwards and I approved this message" (try it at home), leaving only seven seconds to say anything even vaguely intelligible. And we're using the word "vaguely" very vaguely.

All four have one word titles, also presumably to cut costs. This one is entitled "Beats, which is an excellent title because it's only five letters long. (Very economical!).

The ad asks, "Who's the only Democrat who beats all the Republicans in the recent CNN poll?" and then informs us that "John Edwards is the only one."

That question, however, was probably mis-phrased. It should have been, "Of the three top-tier Democrats, who's the only one who did not lose to any of the Republicans in the recent CNN poll," because, the thing is, John Edwards wasn't even included in the poll.

Or, they might have been using the word "recent" or "CNN" or "poll" vaguely.

Tire of back-biting politics? Mud-sligning and name-calling? That's too bad!

If you think the national leading candidates were hitting rock bottom, Arizona has just set the bar lower, much lower. Unbeknown to cable news pundits spinning themselves silly around polls, Arizona's Primary is destined to make history. A grouping on dark-horse candidacies has doubled the choices for our nation's highest elected office. Project White House 08, a microcosm of the national race, offers as much passion and absurdity as any of the front-running campaigns.

Flip those national campaigns the proverbial finger and join the brave candidates of the Arizona Primary in their bold experiment in politics.

New Giuliani Ad: A Candidate Perverted

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

Speaking of that famous old Lyndon Johnson "Daisy" political ad, aren't you glad that our society has evolved past the use of such obvious and grotesque scare tactics? Yeah, it sure is nice, isn't it? It sure is.

Hey, I heard Rudy Giuliani has a brand new political ad. I wonder what that's like. I bet it'll be jaunty as all get out. Let's take a look...

Oh... dear... God... I think I just swallowed my skull.

I'm scared. Rudy, hold me.

Propaganza: Christmas Wishes

POSTED BY: TheInDecider

Indecision2008.com hopes you had a pleasant Christmas weekend and spent it with loved ones, but just in case you're feeling lonely, here are some folks who want to wish you Merry Christmas.

Here's Mike Huckabee's controversial ad in which he may or may not have placed a cross behind him. Apparently people are concerned that he is trying to subliminally inject an overtly Christian message into the ad. If you listen very very carefully you might also hear him subliminally say "...what really matters is the celebration of the birth of Christ." Very clever, Huckabee. We almost missed that one!

Ron Paul makes the argument in this ad that his potency to reproduce makes him the most viable candidate.

Rudy Giuliani has not one but TWO Christmas ads, which means he's TWICE as Christian as everyone else. Please note that apparently they were only able to get him to produce a single sincere laugh, so they re-used it at the end of both ads.

Hillary Clinton proves her ability to wrap abstract concepts with pretty bows.

John Edwards is determined to to bring us down..
