Ralph Nader's Not Quite 50 State Strategy
Ralph Nader has big dreams. He wants to get at least one vote in all 50 states.
But, he's a realist. So he's shooting for 45.

Just in time for Independence Day fun, here's a new waste-of-time poll that says more Americans would enjoy barbecuing with Barack Obama than with John McCain...
While many are still deciding who should be president, by 52 percent to 45 percent they would prefer having Obama than McCain to their summer cookout, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo News poll released Wednesday.
Men are about evenly divided between the two while women prefer Obama by 11 percentage points. Whites prefer McCain, minorities Obama. And Obama is a more popular guest with younger voters while McCain does best with the oldest.
Having Obama to a barbecue would be like a relaxed family gathering, while inviting McCain "would be more like a retirement party than something fun," said Wesley Welbourne, 38, a systems engineer from Washington, D.C.
Hahaha! McCain is old. Good choice of quote, non-partisan Internet newspaper reporter.
In a similar poll, unreleased and unconducted, 60 percent of voters said they would rather stand in a line for a soup kitchen with Ralph Nader than Bob Barr. Many of those polled believed that Nader would be better at "getting the good stuff at the bottom of the pot."
I had no idea McCain could eat without the assistance of a tube
Barack Obama today responded to Ralph Nader's accusation that he was all trying to talk white and shit...
"First of all, what's clear is Ralph Nader hasn't been paying attention to my speeches," Obama said. "Ralph Nader is trying to get attention... It's a shame, because if you look at his legacy in terms of consumer protection, it's an extraordinary one. But at this point, he's somebody who's trying to get attention."
Aw, snap! (Or whatever it's cool to say after a thing like that these days. I have no idea; I'm too white.)
Obama then went on to discuss Bill Clinton's oh so very enthusiastic obligatory endorsement from earlier this week...
Obama said it was "understandable" that the former president didn't "want to upstage" the unity events planned for this week with Hillary Rodham Clinton. He said he "absolutely" wants Bill Clinton to campaign on his behalf. "I want his help not just in campaigning but in governing," Obama said.
Of course Obama wants President Clinton's help. From what I hear, he'd make a fantastic wing man.
