Victoria Jackson Thinks Obama is the Anti-Christ

POSTED BY: Gonzalo Cordova

If you’re like me, and I’m assuming everyone is, you often wonder, what ever happened to Victoria Jackson, former SNL cast member and devout Christian? The answer is she has a blog. And the question is, who cares? And another answer is, Obama should. As it turns out, she thinks he’s the anti-Christ.

"I don't want a political label, but Obama bears traits that resemble the anti-Christ and I'm scared to death that un-educated people will ignorantly vote him into office. My mom likes him because his children are well dressed!"

His children are well-dressed?! What a fucking liar! He lies like a fly with a demon in its eye!

"I know my stance might keep me from LA jobs, since (almost) the whole town is liberal but, some time in a man's life, or a bleach blonde 49 year old woman's life, one must stand for what they believe in, and put truth before popularity."

I hope her controversial views don’t affect her appearances on The 700 Club. I really love those.

"He pretends to be a Christian and he incriminates himself everytime he speaks about Christianity. To lie about being a believer in Christ is very dangerous. Lightning could strike him at any minute! But seriously, he doesn't have a clue what the Bible says and yet he pretends to be a church-going Christian to win votes. That is sooooo evil."

Obama is soooo evil. That’s so Raven! Seriously, guys. Don’t vote for him and junk.

"Come On America! Wake Up! How stupid can you people be?!"

Preach it, sister.

I agree with Victoria Jackson. Can't you blind people see it?: Those of you who do not believe or read the bible are stupid and uneducated. I guess you all will be eaten your worlds when it happens and asking for forgivenes. You will suffer for being sinful and ignorant. This is why the world is the way it is and why things are happening.

Tim Russert on Saturday Night Live, Conan O'Brien

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

I woke up this morning still thinking about the shocking, and untimely death of the man who first got me excited about politics with his white board back in 2000.  Tomorrow is Father's Day (it happens to be my first as a dad) and I know this will be difficult on his son and his father, especially after last year when he wrote that incredibly moving book to his dad.

So this morning I decided to cheer myself up by watching some of the absolutely brilliant Darrell Hammond impressions of Russert.  They were kind of difficult to find on their website, In fact, I could only find this one. Please post links if you can find more.

Make sure you tune into NBC tomorrow morning for Tom Brokaw's tribute to Russert on Meet the Press.

UPDATE: I've posted Conan O'Brien's touching tribute from last night below the fold.

I'm a little overwhelmed with this man after watching tributes to him all day. What a greatly loved individual by his work family and his real family. Great testimony to him.

John McCain More Influential than Radiohead

POSTED BY: TheInDecider

Checking in on Time's Top 100 Most Influential People today, it appears that Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart are still holding strong in positions #1 and #3 respectively.

Of the three remaining presidential candidates, Barack Obama is still the most influential coming in at #42, just behind Teach for America founder Wendy Kopp.

John McCain still can't seem to edge past the cast of High School Musical, but is more influential than the critically acclaimed multiple Award winning Radiohead.

And unfortunately for Senator Hillary Clinton, she can't seem to crack the top 100 today, coming in at #162, over 100 places behind her Saturday Night Live doppelganger, Amy Pohler. At least she has good company.
